Hello, my father is in Colombia and is having problems with his vehicle. The transmission seems to be the problem. When he drives, the transmission changes gears very hard. He took the car to have the gearbox repaired and paid two thousand euros. The problem persists and the repair shop insists it is a “sensor problem” but cannot find the sensor. He receives an offer of six thousand euros for a brand new transmission. I live in the US and can't find any troubleshooting guides. I also can't find a part number for the gearbox. Can someone help me get a part number? Or perhaps advise whether it is worth repairing the car or simply purchasing a new vehicle?
